we have a graduate!

My parents made it here on Tuesday night at 11:30. The bathroom renovation wrapped up at 8 pm and the contractor left. I barely had time to clean up, hang some curtains, and then run to the airport!

Today, we had High School graduation.

Congratulations from my dad.

My parents, Tall Son, Crafty Girl and me a little windblown, and Dear Husband.

Edited to add: Crafty Girl graduated from Elementary School on Tuesday. Except the poor thing had to miss it due to feeling awful with a stomach bug. She made it in for the class picture, then had to come straight home.

collaborator

Crafty Girl came to me and said, Look mom, what I did! Do you want to take some pictures?

She had cut the tops off some fresh strawberries, and arranged everything on a cutting board like this:

How could I resist?

Guess what came next?

Thanks ever so much to the local farmer who grew the berries. We enjoyed them tremendously.

Crafty Girl beads me to it

The other day, I hear my Crafty Girl from her room: they don't say in the book that it takes a long time to do this!
This is what she was doing:
I have yet to bead some beads onto yarn, string, or anything else for that matter. 3 days after her 10th birthday, she beads me to it. She had received a kit of beaded spool knitting.

And promptly made herself a little bracelet. Just by reading and following the instructions. Half an hour later, she had this:

She also does this:

Adding color to my world, all the time.
I love my Crafty Girl.
