Turns out I stink at skein portrait photography. And of course I can't dye yarn worth the water in the dyepot. I get nervous because "real" dyers read this blog.
The colors look a lot better in real life.
Please stop by Trumpet Hill , if you're in the neighborhood.
That's where these are for sale.
Periwinkle Sheep "watercolors" hand dyed sock yarn.
80% superwash merino 20% nylon, 420 yards, $22.
I thank you for your support with my whole heart.

Oh My GOODNESS they are beautiful! I couldn't tell you which color i liked better! Karin i think your work is wonderful! What "name" does your yarn go by? I am planning another trip to Trumpet Hill, maybe this week....
glorious colours!
You don't stink! Your yarn and photos look great!
You need to change your byline - " I knit. And I cook, write, DYE, and take pictures. All for one low price." Nice colors!
You are too hard on yourself! As a recipient and knitter of your yarn I can attest to it's absolute beauty!
Do you have Photoshop? Auto contrast is my saving grace when it comes to photography.
The colors come through beautifully. Wish I live closer so I can see them in person.
I love these colorways. I bought some:-)Did you restock since last weekend? I had called ahead and it looks like its flying off the shelf.
Those are beautiful yarns! And the pictures show them off delightfully well! I love #4 and #7, but then greens are my favourite colours. I also love the browns though. Well, they're all super! It's too bad I'm nowhere near the shop...I think you need to get on Etsy!
OMG! I just got 2 skeins-they are amazing...absolutely amazing-and so soft!
You so need to get on etsy!
What's wrong with your photography? You mean the skeins are even more beautiful than they show up here?
Good thing I'm nowhere near Trumpet Hill :)
I think your skein portraits are beautiful. What great colors, too!
Ooh, Karin! Gorgeous!
And thank you with all my heart.
