small steps to save the planet
- buy fair trade
- buy from local farms
- buy locally produced items
- buy only things you really need
- buy organic
- combine errands into one trip
- cook a big meal and share with a neighbor. Take turns doing this.
- don't idle your car
- refuse plastic bags everywhere
- turn down the temp on your water heater
- turn down your thermostat; wear an extra sweater and wool socks!
- use cloth grocery bags
- use cloth napkins
- use vegetable based detergents
- walk, bike, use public transportation

Karin, how beautiful.Thanks for sharing.I guess your sister doesn't have cats;-) My crew would plot to gain full access to those beauties.
Beautiful collection! My first blossom was nibbled by the lovebird I had at the time. Now I have about 22 plants and some of them are coming into blossom now. I can't wait to see the color show. Sometimes I forget what colors they are because it takes so long for them to bloom. Tell your sister they're beautiful!
They make me feel like spring! I am longing to get my hands back into the soil!

My dear sister Karin,
thank you for showing my orchids.
They are between 2 and 6 years old and it was the first time, that they blossom all together. They have over 70 flowers and I am very proud of them!
