small steps to save the planet
- buy fair trade
- buy from local farms
- buy locally produced items
- buy only things you really need
- buy organic
- combine errands into one trip
- cook a big meal and share with a neighbor. Take turns doing this.
- don't idle your car
- refuse plastic bags everywhere
- turn down the temp on your water heater
- turn down your thermostat; wear an extra sweater and wool socks!
- use cloth grocery bags
- use cloth napkins
- use vegetable based detergents
- walk, bike, use public transportation

It looks like a great time was had by all. Was that Dina in all the photos? I can't wait to hear all about the retreat this Thursday. We are knitting at Panera's, right?
I love that...Knitting as a Peaceful Act...so true...
Looks like so much fun, cabin in the snow, knitters around a big table, putting together the colorful work. Hope your class went well too.
