small steps to save the planet
- buy fair trade
- buy from local farms
- buy locally produced items
- buy only things you really need
- buy organic
- combine errands into one trip
- cook a big meal and share with a neighbor. Take turns doing this.
- don't idle your car
- refuse plastic bags everywhere
- turn down the temp on your water heater
- turn down your thermostat; wear an extra sweater and wool socks!
- use cloth grocery bags
- use cloth napkins
- use vegetable based detergents
- walk, bike, use public transportation

I LOVE that book! I've got a hand warmer on the needles as well as a celtic cabled scarf. (Got started on the Heather Hoodie vest from Knitscene but got waylayed for these other ones) Happy Knitting Karin!
Great cables! Can't wait to see it progress.
On my needles: a secret project that will be finished later today; a Cinquefoil hat; socks; and a Swallowtail shawl. Plenty to keep my busy!
I attempted St. Patrick - my hands were not happy. Yours looks wonderful!
OHHHH! So beautiful! Someday i hope to be able to knit like that!
Helmet liners to send out for donations, a cable and lace stole for me, and a chullo hat, also for donation. There are a couple of things snoozing in the back ground too but not worth mentioning. The sweater looks great!
