small steps to save the planet
- buy fair trade
- buy from local farms
- buy locally produced items
- buy only things you really need
- buy organic
- combine errands into one trip
- cook a big meal and share with a neighbor. Take turns doing this.
- don't idle your car
- refuse plastic bags everywhere
- turn down the temp on your water heater
- turn down your thermostat; wear an extra sweater and wool socks!
- use cloth grocery bags
- use cloth napkins
- use vegetable based detergents
- walk, bike, use public transportation

I'm a little late, but good luck! I hope it makes it in. And either way I promise to make them, I'm sure they are gorgeous!

If they don't accept your design that just means their artistic vision is different from yours. You have lots of time to come up with other designs but you'll probably get accepted so all the worry is for naught.
