small steps to save the planet
- buy fair trade
- buy from local farms
- buy locally produced items
- buy only things you really need
- buy organic
- combine errands into one trip
- cook a big meal and share with a neighbor. Take turns doing this.
- don't idle your car
- refuse plastic bags everywhere
- turn down the temp on your water heater
- turn down your thermostat; wear an extra sweater and wool socks!
- use cloth grocery bags
- use cloth napkins
- use vegetable based detergents
- walk, bike, use public transportation

You don't mind that I laughed, do you? Having had three weeks of parental houseguests this summer.
Wow, sounds like you must of had a wonderful & busy visit!
I tried to call you a few weeks ago before your folks came but I'm sure you were busy with preparing for their visit. We'll have to get together still. Can't wait to tell you all about my back yard veggie garden! I'll even bring pictures!
